Ashlyn Ulmer is the photographer behind the lens, capturing cherished memories for families across Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, and Florida. Based in Laurel, Mississippi, where Snaps by Ashlyn Studio resides, I’m married to my wonderful husband, Dawson Ulmer, and together, we raise our loving 6-year-old son, Carter. We love spending time together—whether it’s jet skiing at the river, feeling the warm sand between our toes in Destin, Florida, or soaking in the summer sun. Outside of photography, I’m a middle school teacher specializing in computer science and technology.
Snaps by Ashlyn was born in 2019, shortly after graduating college and navigating life as a single mom. I sought out a creative outlet that would allow me to support my family while still being there for Carter. What started as a side hustle turned into a full-fledged passion, and I’m so grateful for how far it’s come.
Jesus is my strength and my foundation. This journey has been possible because of His grace, love, and kindness. While that season of life was incredibly challenging, I can now look back and see how He was with me every step of the way.
